Digital Mode Radio Communication Certification

Purpose

To obtain basic digital mode communication radio skills on Utah County equipment. Winlink is the preferred digital mode to pass off, but you can certify on FLDIGI, MixW, MultiPSK, or any other digital mode software. Some of the popular modes are PSK, MFSK, JT9, RTTY, or FT8.

Participation

1. Setup the digital station (with no assistance)

2. Connect to another digital station and send a message

3. Receive a message from another station

4. Be able to type at a minimum of 20 words per minute
