This year, the Utah County Amateur Radio Emergency Service (UCARES) once again had the privilege of supporting the Kat’cina Mosa 100K, a challenging ultra-marathon that winds through the rugged and scenic backcountry of Utah. This race, known for its breathtaking views and extreme difficulty, brings with it unique challenges—one of the most significant being the lack of cell service across much of the course. That’s where we come in.
